Getting your test results
If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.
Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:
- in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- in your Emis Patient Access account
NHS Online (App)
Test Results may also be obtained by ringing 01900 815544 between 2.00pm and 4.00pm. The administrator may then inform you of the result, or she may ask you to arrange an appointment/telephone consultation with your doctor or one of the practice nurses to discuss your result.
Questions about your results
If you want to talk to someone about your results, fill out our test results request form and someone will be in touch.
Hospital Test Results
The surgery is unable to give out the results of any tests/investigations undertaken or requested by a Clinician at a hospital.
Please contact the relevant department at the hospital for your results.
Laboratory Specimens
Specimens are sent to the hospital each weekday Monday to Friday. If you are asked to bring a specimen on those days please ensure that we receive it before 12 noon.
Please ensure that all samples are provided in the correct container and are clearly labelled with the patient’s full name, date of birth and the date the sample was taken.
Any samples that do not have this information or are supplied in an incorrect container will NOT be processed.
